Red Bee Media Provides Systems Integration Services For Altice France

News Image
Red Bee Media has provided Systems Integration Services for Altice France, creating a completely new Broadcast and News Center in Paris, France.

The facilities cover all the needs of a major media company dealing with news and sports – including a playout control room ready to broadcast 25 linear channels in HD and UHD, a master control room (MCR) for news production, seven studios & galleries, 20 edit suites, 20 commentary booths and availability for two outside broadcast vans. Red Bee Media has built all technical facilities needed to complete this vast and complex installation. The official and final inauguration took place on October 9th with the launch of the news channel BFM TV.

Altice France wanted to renew their facilities and create an entirely new, state-of the-art Broadcast and News Center. Red Bee Media was selected to provide Systems Integration Services and design, build and configure the whole facility.

The project was initiated in April 2017 and took 17 months to complete. The facilities were initially inaugurated with the launch of 7 channels in late August, with broadcasts covering high-quality sports events such as the Premier League, the Champions League and Europa League. The official grand opening of the facilities took place on 9th of October with the launch of the news channel BFM TV.

According to the requirements of Altice France, Red Bee Media has provided services covering every possible aspect to make the project a success – including design & specifications, workflow definition, procurement, logistics, cabling, integration, installation and configuration. The project has involved 30 fulltime staff from Red Bee Media and the coordination of over 300 external service providers.

The Altice France Broadcast & News Center is located in the 15th Arr. in Paris and will be providing high quality content in Sports, Entertainment and News to millions of viewers all over France, through TV and radio channels such as BFM TV, BFM Business and the various RMC Sport channels.
