Eurotek Complete Installation Of RTE Graphics Infrastructure

Eurotek have announced the completion of an installation of a new graphics infrastructure at Ireland's national broadcaster, Radio Teilifis Eireann (RTÉ).
The installation, completed over a three month period, is based around Autodesk Media and entertainments advanced graphics systems, Discreet Flint.
Along with numerous Mac and high powered BOXX workstations, render farms and MAX -T sledgehammer systems, RTÉ have purchased six advanced Discreet Flint systems. At the heart of the new infrastructure is a new ARTBOX DAM (Digital asset management) system from Proximity installed by Eurotek.
RTÉ will use Discreet Flint as an in-house tool to generate a full variety of graphics.
The innovative features of Discreet Flint help create the superior visual effects required for building broadcast content material, opening titles, sequences and promotional material.
Commenting on the install, Carol Coffey, Manager of Broadcast Graphics at RTÉ said: "It's a sophisticated digital compositor with faster rendering time, which is critical to our efficiency."
The Discreet Flint systems will allow RTÉ to work more closely with post production houses, as they can share metadata from their Flint systems with the numerous Flame systems installed in the post production community and have seamless interoperability with projects that they may be co-working on.
