Rushes post Wyclef Jean Virgin Mobile commercial

Rushes have completed post on a new commercial for Virgin Mobile.
The commercial features Wyclef Jean and is a continuation from ‘Autograph Hunter', where a crazy autograph hunter/gypsy-mad-woman dupes Wyclef and takes him captive in her caravan.
‘Run Wyclef Run’ opens in the same seedy caravan, with the woman lounging around, while cockroaches roam. Wyclef is washing himself in the lavatory. Flies are buzzing around and Wyclef spots one flying out of a skylight.
The next shot is Wyclef escaping, running through forests, rivers, until he reaches the road. He flags over a cop car and is so relieved; he jumps into the back seat - only to be told he is in breach of contract.
The outside of a gloomy unwelcoming prison is the next shot. Wyclef is now an inmate. It is shower time inside and Wyclef is asked by a fellow inmate to pass him the soap.
The voiceover reminds the viewer: “Be careful what you sign!”
Rushes Inferno expert, Bill McNamara, said: “This commercial was a beautifully crafted piece, and the finished look, due to HD, has such clarity.
"One of our main challenges was to composite a matt painting of the exterior prison with live action: guards, tower and rain. In this composite we combined 18 layers of rain, clouds and live action, to create a seamless composite shot.
"Another of our tasks was to composite flies in to the toilet scene. The flies where generated at HD resolution in Rushes 3D department and then combined with the live action in Rushes HD Inferno.
"The Wyclef commercial was transferred on Rushes' C-Reality Telecine and Da Vinci Colour Correcter at HDTV resolution, then conformed. The effects work was carried out on Rushes HD Inferno. This aided in a seamless transition from final HD Master, to a Film Print for cinematic release, 16x9 television Master for the UK and also a 14x9 master for release in the US. Working in Rushes HD Real Time Telecine & Inferno Suites made it possible to achieve all this work in four days.
"It was a dream to work on this project; it was an excellent execution of a great script. Working in HD was an extremely enjoyable and seamless experience creating film resolution composites in a tight deadline.”
