Technicolor Network Services invests in a fourth DK PT0660M

London-based Technicolor Network Services has invested in another PT0660M audio meter from Danish metering specialist DK-Technologies.
The facility now has two units in its Dolby enabled Transmission suites, another in an edit suite where it is used for Dolby 5.1 editing and a fourth as a spare.
DK’s PT0660M, launched two years ago, was originally developed to meet specific client demand for an audio meter that could act as a master volume control for speakers in both surround and stereo configurations. The eight-track unit combines DK-Technologies’ proprietary JellyFish surround display with a volume knob on the front panel. An internal switching matrix is also included, allowing customers to change presets to their own specifications.
Technicolor Network Services Project Engineer Mark Ahearn said: “With demand for Dolby E and AC3 on the increase in both the editing environment and transmission, DK’s JellyFish display is a must for correct Dolby 5.1 spatial audio monitoring. The PT0660M’s ability to monitor and control 5.1 audio levels is very useful – as are the 10 pre-sets, which are directly available from the frontplate, thus giving us much greater flexibility.”
Technicolor Network Services provides global consultancy and managed services that facilitate the preparation, management and distribution of content for customers that include media companies, content owners, channel operators and out-of-home, retail and corporate media networks around the world.
It has four global facilities – in London, Paris, Tokyo and Atlanta.
