Ascent Media Network Services appoint Chief Operating Officer

Ascent Media Network Services (AMNS) have announced the appointment of Margaret Craig as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Craig, who will report to AMNS President Scott Davis, will have day-to-day responsibility for the company’s worldwide content distribution operations, and will work closely with the rest of the senior management team on strategic initiatives.
"AMNS is poised for significant worldwide growth, and Margaret will be a key player in helping us manage this evolution to our clients' best advantage," said Davis. "When you consider her technical education (BSEE), her depth of experience, and her proven ability to creatively analyze individual situations and develop effective results, Margaret will be an extraordinary asset on every level: for our customers; our senior management team, and our organisation as a whole."
With market environment and technologies becoming increasingly dynamic in electronic media industries, AMNS said the position of COO had been created to achieve the necessary leadership, consistency, and adaptability to continue providing best-in-class operations practices across AMNS's global distribution facilities.
Craig will also be responsible for establishing the appropriate platforms needed to support the new technologies and services implemented by the company in support of its global business expansion.
With more than 20 years experience in the professional television industry, Craig has recently served as President and CEO for Leitch Technology Corporation, where she clarified strategy to focus on the global manufacturer's core professional television equipment business, and drove a major renewal of the product line.
In executive-level roles with other key industry vendors (including Snell & Wilcox and Tektronix), Craig has a solid track record of operational successes and a proven ability to establish and implement operational processes to enhance client satisfaction. She has extensive international experience, specifically with European and Asian content/distribution markets, provides a critical understanding of business practices throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
AMNS , is part of the Ascent Media Group and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Holding Company.
