GRANADA MEDIA PARTNERSHIP WITH ARSENAL
GRANADA Media have announced that they are to enter into a strategic partnership with Arsenal Football Club.
Under the agreement Granada Media will take an equity stake in the club to become its commercial services and media agent and its global new media partner.
Granada Media will invest £47 million into the partnership in return for five per cent of the enlarged share capital and a 50 per cent interest in a new joint venture company, AFC Broadband, a global portal.
Steve Morrison Chief Executive of Granada Media said: “This new joint venture is central to Granada’s strategy to offer innovative, enriched and personalised internet and broadband services to affinity communities.”
