TAS supply Sony mic system to Sky Sports
Total Audio Solutions have supplied a further four-channel Sony radio mic system to UK broadcaster BSkyB, for use on the Sky Sports’ flagship Ford Monday Night Football.
Comprising the new WRT-8B transmitters and MB-8N modular receiver, the first of its kind to be installed in the UK, it complements the company’s existing stock of over 30 channels of Sony wireless.
BSkyB’s head of sound, Vaughan Rogers, explained that he was happy to specify the units for use on the program: “We’ve had great results using our existing Sony gear, and the new equipment so far has been even better.”
The MB-8N is a modular design, housing four broadcast quality receivers in just 1U of rackspace, and allows up to 20 channels to be connected without the use of a distribution amplifier.
