New IBC Innovation awards to reward successful technology

This year IBC will be introducing four new awards for the innovative use of technology.
The awards will be presented to broadcasters and the technology companies involved. “IBC’s aim is to celebrate the high level of successful innovation and expertise created through the partnerships between technology suppliers and users. All the key players attend IBC and so this is a special opportunity to bring the stakeholders together for a top class ceremony, which will undoubtedly add to the considerable ‘buzz’ that IBC generates,” said Chairman of the Jury, IBC’s Mike Lumley.
There are four awards categories covering the innovative application of technology in content creation, content management and content delivery and a judges award for an outstanding contribution to any combination of content creation, management and delivery.
IBC are inviting entries from everyone involved in the creation, management or delivery of content. Entries should be for technology applications that are in use by 31 July and should be endorsed by both the technology supplier and user.
The deadline for entries is March 17 2006.
