ONDIGITAL INVESTS IN FURTHER UPGRADES

ONDIGITAL have invested in the Profile 9 XP Media Platform from the Grass Valley Group as part of an extensive upgrade to their London based facilities.
ONdigital will use the new Profile PVS1022, which features two input and two output channels primarily for ingest, acquisition and broadcast of interstitial facilities.
The Profile XP will be installed in the Central Apparatus Room of ONdigital’s main network operations centre in London
Chris Anning, ONdigital’s Head of Engineering Operations, said: “We were looking for a solution that would meet our current requirements but which would also expand our future options. We have been using two Profile PDR200 servers for two years now and have found them to be robust and reliable.”
The Grass Valley Group have shipped more than 500 Profile XP Media Platforms worldwide over the past few months. The Profile WP provides video storage, production and manipulation while supporting the multiple formats and resolutions and the open architectures necessary to meet both the current and future needs of content creators and distributors.
