Mitcorp launches HD rental operation with Grass Valley Cameras

Continuing to lead the way in HD services for Europe, Grass Valley has won an order from leading UK products and services provider Mitcorp for six LDK6000 mk II WorldCam high definition cameras.
The choice of the LDK6000 was one of the first decisions in Mitcorp’s programme to launch a broadcast rental operation.
Stephen Ratcliff, Head of Rental Business at Mitcorp, said: “The Grass Valley LDK6000 has become the accepted standard for high definition cameras in Europe, with most outside broadcast and studio operators choosing it. That makes it a simple choice for a rental operation: if our customers need to rent in HD cameras they want the one that is recognized as the best that will match their existing equipment.”
The LDK6000 is unique in capturing true progressive HD images natively, and delivering multiple formats and frame rates. It supports both 1080i and 720p at all standard frame rates, including 720/50p. It also provides a simultaneous high quality standard definition output.
The camera is already the standard with leading outside broadcast providers such as NEP Visions and Alfacam, and studios including The Hospital in London and VRT in Belgium.
