Holophone to exhibit at AES Conference (Booth #654)

Holophone, a division of Rising Sun Productions, has announced that it will exhibit at the 119th AES Conference which runs from October 7th - 10th.
Holophone will showcase its two new professional products which are currently in development– the Holophone PRO Mini and Pocket PME.
Holophone began shipping production units of the H2-PRO at the AES Convention in San Francisco last year. Since then, Holophone has increased its global presence with the addition of thirteen new dealers worldwide to add to it’s International dealer network, and has noted a dramatic increase in the use of the H2-PRO for the recording of 5.1 Surround Sound on high-profile music broadcast and film projects.
As the H2-PRO Surround Sound Microphone makes its way into the market and into the hands of customers around the world, it is being used to capture more events and as a result, there is an increasing amount of new 5.1 channel ‘Holophone’ Surround Sound content available to consumers. Holophone partner Third Wave Productions has used the H2-PRO to record the likes of Elton John and Celine Dion at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas as well as using it at the Bonaroo Festival to record The Black Crowes, Dave Matthews, Government Mule and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. The Elton John show will be broadcast in HDTV with 5.1 channel surround sound during Thanksgiving on NBC.
In addition, Coming Home Studios used the H2-PRO to record Whitesnake in the UK for DVD release later this year. Swedish Radio broadcast an Iron Maiden concert live in surround sound from Gothenberg, Sweden. Real – The Film, a feature film about the Real Madrid Soccer Team, used the H2-PRO to capture the ambiance of the crowds at 100,000 plus soccer venues in Spain. The London Philharmonic was recorded at Air Lyndhurst in London using an H2-PRO. The audio will be used for a feature film project to be presented on the world’s largest motion picture screen.
The Holophone-MINI and Pocket PME are one-of-a-kind products based upon patented Holophone technologies. The Pocket PME, as well as being a prototype for the professional broadcast camera market, has also been designed as a test-bed for the unit's internal scaleable technologies. Holophone plans to manufacture both products in-house and sell them directly and through their worldwide dealer network. Holophone’s technologies are also available for license to consumer OEM’s and others who wish to develop portable, miniature, 5.1 surround sound recording products.
