RED ADD CREATIVE FIRE POWER

CREATIVE facility Red have invested in a Discreet fire on-line editor, to be driven by Red Artists Tim Rudgard and Dave Kiddie.
The facility are also upgrading their flame, flint and inferno systems to the latest spec. The fire will run the latest version on Silicon Graphics' Onyx2 and will boast four and a half hour of stone storage plus a full complement of spark plug-ins. The system also has the ability to carry out HD work.
In addition to increased editing flexibility for high-end commercials and music promos, the fire will be networked via Red's existing Hippi network with the facility's Spirit Datacine and Discreet inferno, flint and flame suites. This will enable them to undertake more 2K film titles, trailer and effects projects. The system will also link in with backdraft allowing conforms to be completed out of suite as well as importing, exporting and archiving of material.
