CTBF ask for participants to face 'The Braveheart Challenge'
The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) are seeking the final few participants in a unique and adrenalin-packed team trial for The Braveheart Challenge.
Set in Scotland over a three-day weekend - Friday 30th September – Sunday 2nd October 2005 - this exhilarating event will test fitness, skill and intellect, and raise money for The CTBF's charitable works. They warn that wimps need not apply!
There are 19 challenges, promising ‘first-time ever’ adrenalin-filled experiences, including quad biking, speed boating, canoeing, IQ testing, orienteering, abseiling, archery, JCB driving, and a trip over Loch Lomond in a helicopter.
Each four-strong team must navigate over rough ground to a series of checkpoints around the event course and complete all 19 challenges to score points – points will also be awarded for the amount of sponsorship raised.
The Prize – the winning team will be awarded the magnificent Braveheart Broadsword Trophy, plus an all-inclusive activity weekend in Spain.
A charity fundraising event, all sponsorship raised from The Braveheart Challenge is a will go directly to The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.
The CTBF, a British trade charity, provide 'care behind the cameras’, for employees in the film, cinema, commercial television or affiliated industries and helps people who may be facing poverty, as a result of accident, illness, bereavement or redundancy.
The entry fee of £450 + VAT per person, includes transfers to/from Glasgow Airport, accommodation for three nights, three meals per day, evening entertainment and all the activities.
A minimum of £400 per person or, for a team of four, means £1,600 contributed towards the CTBF.
There are five places left so contact Shelly at the CTBF on 020 7437 6567 or email s.pinner@ctbf.co.uk for a team application form.
