Siemens announces senior media and entertainment appointments

Siemens Business Services, formerly BBC Technology, has appointed Kevin Newport to head up Business Development for Media and Entertainment and Craig Dwyer to lead Media and Entertainment Solutions.
Newport's focus will be on growing media and entertainment revenues in Great Britain and Ireland and he will also be developing strategic partnerships within the market.
Newport has extensive experience in the media industry, having started his career as an Executive Producer at the BBC. His more recent roles have included Director of Business Development at Cable and Wireless, and Head of Media Consulting at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young.
In his role, Dwyer is responsible for the teams that deliver solutions and consulting services to international media and entertainment customers, including the BBC.
Dwyer joins the team with a wealth of experience from previous roles in the industry, including Chief Marketing Officer at BBC Technology, where he led the development of the company’s products and services in the world marketplace. Dwyer has also worked as a client partner for AGENCY.com, where he developed their European Interactive TV platform and spent over four years with Avid Technology in the United States.
