VideoForum sees first UK showing of Avid HD products

Avid Technology UK showcased the new version of Avid Xpress Pro HD and Media Composer Adrenaline HD for the first time in the UK at the VideoForum 2005 exhibition.
The show also provided an opportunity for visitors to the Avid stand to take part in free hands-on editing workshops. These proved ideal for anyone new to video editing, allowing them to test-drive the industry-standard editing interface and use basic video and audio tools.
The main Avid stand featured hourly demonstrations of Avid Xpress Pro HD, the company's latest cost-effective yet powerful professional editing software. This also formed a key part of Avid's one-to-one demonstrations on the separate product pods. Xpress Pro HD was displayed working with the portable Avid Digital Nonlinear Accelerator, Avid Mojo, while alongside this were two new Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD systems. The industry's most trusted editing system is now a high-velocity HD workstation, ideal for film and HD-originated television and film productions.
Avid also ran beginner and advanced level Avid Xpress Pro workshops at VideoForum. These proved to be exceptionally popular, with visitors receiving high quality tuition and guidance from Avid product specialists. In addition, the show featured two Avid seminars; HD Post-Production and DNxHD Technology; with an Avid product specialist speaking at the HDV panel session.
