Zandar complete MultiViewer installations in Spanish OB trucks

Zandar Technologies, the leading innovator and pioneer in MultiViewer systems, is helping bring sporting events to homes across Spain with the installation of MX MultiViewers in the new outside broadcasting (OB) trucks of MediaPro, Spain's largest OB fleet operator.
MediaPro is a leader in sports production, holding the rights for major football games as well as other important sporting events, and uses its OB fleet at major sports stadiums across the country.
The Zandar MX MultiViewers in each truck take feeds from location cameras and sport slo-mo servers, displaying multi images plasma screens for operational staff to view the key action. By using MultiViewer technology MediaPro is able to simultaneously display up to sixteen source signals on a single screen, which has saved vital rack space and reduced installation costs. This approach allows operators to view images more easily, which is particularly important in this environment where fast creative decisions are required at live events.
The Zandar MultiViewer solutions save a significant amount of rack space and reduce both power and heat by negating the need for a traditional bank of monitors, which is especially important in OB vehicles. The MultiViewers also alleviate the need for monitoring routing switchers since the source selection can be done from within the MX units. At only one rack unit high, these units provide a very compact, lightweight and cost effective solution to simultaneous viewing of multiple sources.
"This contract is testament to Zandar's continued success in the broadcast market," said Deirdre Smith, CEO of Zandar Technologies. "The flexibility and reliability of Zandar MultiViewers make them ideal for the unique and demanding requirements of live TV broadcasting, particularly at outdoor events".
MX MultiViewers were recommended to MediaPro by Spanish distributor, Iberica de Componentes.
