Harmonic to resell Zandar video monitoring solutions

Zandar Technologies has announced that Harmonic will resell the Zandar Technologies MultiViewer systems as part of its system offering.
Both companies have a large worldwide installed base amongst whom they count some of the most visionary and prestigious broadcasters. The closer working relationship will allow both organizations to address market changes even more effectively, ensuring optimum solutions in dynamically changing markets.
Harmonic has worked extensively with the Zandar DX and FusionPro Series equipment in the past and this new agreement allows the company to address its customers' requirements for MultiViewer systems more effectively and provide a more integrated set of business solutions.
David Brownstone, Third Party Solutions Manager at the Convergent Systems Division of Harmonic Inc. said: "We like the ease of use, density of services, concurrent support of multiple standard and high definition channels, screen layouts and most importantly video quality of the Zandar systems. It is an excellent complement to the NMX Digital Service Manager, Harmonic's breakthrough network management system that allows operators to monitor and control their digital video infrastructure in the same way they manage their business, as a series of services. Our ability to sell and support the Zandar products will simplify life for our mutual customers."
Deirdre Smith, CEO of Zandar Technologies added: "This agreement elevates our relationship with Harmonic to a new level and we are delighted to work with them and add expertise to their business solutions."
Zandar's multi-tiered product lines offer users affordable choices for a whole variety of applications from simple quad splits to complete leading edge HDTV systems with integrated signal detection, monitoring and automatic alarms. As the boundaries are constantly being pushed, Zandar continuously advances new technologies and products to meet the challenges. Whilst MultiViewer systems have more recently become a new standard for displaying multiple images simultaneously they are often overlooked as monitoring alarm systems that detect video and audio presence and loss.
Zandar's client base includes organizations such as Turner Broadcast in USA, BBC TV in the UK, TTV in Taiwan, Star TV in Hong Kong, TV-8 in Singapore, Telecino in Spain and various US State Departments and the US Air Force.
