TimeDelay.tv complete over 10,000 edits on ITV reality shows

UK based TimeDelay.tv has just returned from Australia, having helped cut out over 10,000 censorship edits for both ITV1’s ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here!’ and ITV2’s ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here Now!
TimeDelay.tv is the UK's first company dedicated to broadcast compliance and censorship of live TX shows with a 1-10 second D1 Pipeline machine, which can instantly cut out rude words and pictures, helping broadcasters adhere to Ofcom regulations.
Time Delay.tv has worked on many other live, reality and entertainment shows including ‘Love on a Saturday Night’, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Take Away’ and ‘Hells Kitchen’.
A five second delay was used for both the ITV1 and ITV2 shows, enabling the D1 Pipeline to instantly cut sound/pictures or both, and inserting a secondary video/audio source.
As soon as the offending word is heard, a button is pressed for as long as the expletive occurs.
A built in reaction time is triggered, and five seconds later the word comes out clean.
All the operators are trained to work within the Ofcom guidelines, but are totally flexible to suit the needs of the production and producers.
If need be the producers themselves can easily operate it with a simple button trigger.
In Australia two machines were used for both the main and backup feeds, with a one button push by the operator, activating both machines in tandem.
Darryl Rose, Director, Time Delay.tv, said: "It’s always a real privilege to work alongside incredible production teams, on some of the most successful award winning shows of all time. They use TimeDelay.tv because production companies do not want to offend viewers by strong language especially pre watershed and in a live situation you just never know what is going to happen!
"TimeDelay.tv helps eliminate their fears, while the viewers at home will still watch a truly enjoyable show."
The D1 Pipeline unit features 10-bit video processing, with a primary video input complemented by an auxiliary/alternate video input.
Audio processing is 24-bit, with four channels in and out, along with four Auxiliary / alternate audio channels. Audio in all channels can be selected for AES/EBU, digital or analogue.
