TV One Shows New Multiple-Input And Output Audio Format Converters At IBC2008

At IBC2008, TV One, specialists in video, audio and multimedia processing equipment, will show their new A2-7000 Series of Audio Format Converters working in conjunction with the C2-7310 Dual Channel HD Video and Audio Processor to provide digital and analogue audio conversion as well as AES and AES3-id audio conversion.
The C2-7310 was created to address the evolving needs of the Broadcast and Professional Video markets and supports virtually every bi-directional SDTV-to-HDTV conversion imaginable all within a compact 1RU enclosure.
Beyond its versatility as a dual channel Up/Cross/Down Converter for SD and HD, the C2-7310 offers a vast array of advanced features including multi-format glitch-free switching, dual picture-in-picture, edge blending, chroma/luma key, aspect ratio conversion, logo insertion and much more.
The device has 11 inputs and 2 independent outputs accommodating multiple HD/SD-SDI, DVI, YPbPr, RGB, YUV, CV and YC signals, as well as all HDTV formats and any PC resolution up to 2048x2048.
The C2-7310 processor also provides accommodation for AES3-id audio, 8 in and 8 out, from each of the two HD-44 connectors located on its rear panel. Using its integral audio processor, it can delay, mix and sample rate convert these audio channels, as well as possessing the ability to embed and de-embed to and from HD/SD-SDI Video signals. In order to fully utilise the audio on the HD-44 connections TV One has produced four new audio format converters and breakout units that can connect to the C2-7310 using the HD-44 connector to give more audio inputs that can be embedded directly into either of the two HD/SD-SDI outputs.
The A2-7312 Audio Breakout Unit connects to the C2-7310 using a 1.5 metre HD-44 interconnect cable and provides access for 8 inputs and 8 outputs of AES3-id Audio and also a DARS reference input all via BNC connectors.
The A2-7302 AES and AES3-id Audio Format Converter accommodates 8 AES audio inputs (on XLR connectors) that are converted to AES3-id to feed into the C2-7310 using the HD-44 interface. It can also accept 8 AES3-id audio channels from the C2-7310 using the same HD-44 connector and converts these to AED audio to outputs using a further 8 XLR connectors on the unit.
The A2-7342 Audio Format Converter provides high quality conversion of four analogue stereo channels via XLR inputs, to AES3id audio, which can be fed into the C2-7310 via the familiar HD-44 interface. It can also accept a further four digital AES3-id audio inputs from the C2-7310 via the HD-44 connector and can convert these to analogue stereo audio for output on XLR connectors. It also includes a DARS reference input on a BNC Connector and the audio sample rate is manually adjustable.
Similarly, the A2-7322 Audio Format Converter contains eight high quality analogue stereo audio to AES3-id converters plus eight high quality AES3-id to analogue stereo audio converters. The 8 input and 8 output connectors are terminals and the unit also has a DARS reference input on a BNC connector. Like the A2-7342, the audio sample rate is also manually adjustable.
These new audio products, along with the entire TV One product line, can be viewed at the up-coming IBC2008 Exhibition being held in Amsterdam next month on the TV One Stand 3.C41.
