BBC FUNDS FREELANCE TRAINING

COURSES from BBC Training and Development are being made available to freelances in the broadcast industry at 60 per cent subsidy.
BBC Training and Development say that the courses will complement those already available via funding from Skillset, the National Training Organisation for the UK’s broadcast and film sector. Courses include areas such as camera skills, lighting, sound and post-production.
Research from BBC Training and Development shows that 94 per cent of companies in the broadcast and production industry are concerned about the level of training freelances receive. 79 per cent of these companies have used freelances in the last year so high quality yet affordable training remains a key issue for the industry.
Full details of the courses are available may be found on the BBC Training and Development website at www.bbctraining.co.uk or a brochure is available by calling tel. 0870 122 0216.
