BBC TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT LINK WITH FAST MULTIMEDIA

BBC TRAINING and Development have announced plans to enter into an international training provision with FAST Multimedia AG.
The partnership means that for the first time, FAST training will be offered in English.
From the end of September 2000 two FAST Studio editing courses will be available. A two-day foundation course for new and developing editors and a one-day masterclass for experienced editors.
Steve Wise, General Manager of FAST UK said: “BBC Training and Development is the worldwide broadcast industry’s leading training provider,we are delighted to have established a partnership with them. At FAST we focus on providing solutions for post production studios and broadcast environments. The remit is strengthened by the introduction of a training solution, which will help new FAST users to ‘hit the ground running’ and show existing operators how to achieve better results. The FAST-Studio platform is growing massively at the moment we have 3000 FAST Studio editors worldwide.”
Malcolm Nelson, Manager of Programme Skills Training at BBC Training and Development said: “Our aim is to offer flexibility and choice to our customers. We achieve this by constantly expanding our training portfolio and developing new ways of learning for new ways of working. The link with FAST further extends our renowned video editing course programme.”
Training will be delivered at BBC Training and Development’s centre at Wood Norton in England or at clients’ premises.
