Martin Audio Sound System Installed At Tramp Health Wellness Club

Tramp Health, a longevity-focused members club established by the owners of the iconic UK nightclub Tramp, opened in London’s Mayfair in May, featuring a multizone sound system designed and installed by integrator Evolve Install using Martin Audio loudspeakers.

The installation was designed to deliver high-quality audio throughout the premium wellness venue, with different speaker solutions selected to meet the acoustic and operational requirements of individual spaces.

Elliot Patterson of Evolve Install was first introduced to the project last year through his longstanding relationship with the club's owner, Luca Maggiora.

"I've been working with owner Luca Maggiora on audio projects for easily 20 years," recalls Patterson. "He showed me the space, and we immediately started putting the plans together."

The system uses Martin Audio ADORN ACS-40T shallow ceiling speakers in communal walkways, the lounge and changing rooms. The main corridor is equipped with the larger ADORN ACS-55T models, providing a tailored approach to audio coverage across the venue.

For the club's more demanding fitness environments, Evolve Install specified ADORN A80 cabinet speakers in the Megaformer Pilates studio and Form, the dedicated high-intensity interval training (HIIT) room.

"While the ceiling speakers are perfect for handling the low-profile background music in communal areas, the high-energy classes in the Megaformer and Form rooms naturally demanded more output," explains Patterson. "The instructors and members need audio with a bit more kick, and the A80 cabinet works exceptionally well for that."

Patterson also highlighted the A80’s versatility and performance, particularly its suitability for installations requiring different amplification and distribution configurations.

"It’s an incredibly versatile cabinet," he says. "With its eight-inch driver, it delivers excellent power and gives us the flexibility to run low-impedance or 100-volt lines depending on the zone's configuration. This was my first time deploying them, and they have performed incredibly well."

The main gym floor features a further six ADORN A80T cabinets operating on a 100V line. Acoustic considerations were particularly important in this area, where extensive reflective glass surfaces could affect sound quality.

The project is expected to continue expanding as Tramp Health develops its facilities. An additional personal training suite is scheduled to open in the near future and will feature Martin Audio Q26 loudspeakers, extending the audio system into another area of the members club.
