Studio Technologies Unveils Model 791 Control Console

Studio Technologies has introduced the Model 791 Control Console at IBC 2026 (Nixer Audio Stand 8.F96), extending its StudioComm for Dante product family. Designed to complement the Model 792/793 and Model 794/795 monitor control systems, the 791 enables convenient level and function control from additional monitoring locations.

Aimed at broadcast and audio-with-picture workflows where a streamlined, dedicated interface is preferred at secondary positions, the compact unit offers everyday essentials: two pushbuttons for dim and reference level, and a rotary encoder for precise listening-level adjustment.

"The Model 791 extends the flexibility of our StudioComm for Dante systems by making it simple to add additional control locations without duplicating the full set of controls provided by the primary console," said Gordon Kapes, President of Studio Technologies. "For many broadcast and audio-with-picture applications, the ability to conveniently adjust monitoring level and access dim and reference level functions is exactly what is needed at secondary locations."

Housed in a steel tabletop enclosure to suit professional environments, the Model 791 connects via standard RS-485 wiring to a rack-mounted StudioComm for Dante Central Controller, ensuring straightforward installation.

Up to three Model 791 units can be attached to a single StudioComm for Dante system, extending control across multiple rooms or positions. The console is compatible with the Model 792/793 and Model 794/795 Central Controllers, which support Dante audio alongside analogue and AES3 digital sources for use in broadcast, production, post-production and other professional monitoring scenarios.
