Wisycom Unveils New RF Solutions And IFB Upgrades

Wisycom is presenting new additions to its professional RF ecosystem at IBC 2026 (Stand 8.D60), led by the MATF Wideband Antenna Matrix and the PFL Portable RF over Fibre (RFoF) Box, plus expanded IFB functionality for the flagship MPR60 receiver.

Throughout the show, the company will stage practical demonstrations to illustrate how these releases enhance complex, large‑scale wireless workflows for broadcast, live events, production and RFoF deployments.

Engineered for multizone wireless systems and RFoF architectures, the MATF Wideband Antenna Matrix accepts both coaxial and fibre inputs and consolidates multiple rack components into a single, highly adaptable unit. It can combine up to eight RF input zones in diversity and, via software configuration, route eight zones to four equal outputs, or split into two groups of four zones feeding two outputs. This lets users attach more receivers without extra splitters and choose from five available versions to suit their design and operational needs.

Covering 170–1,260 MHz, the MATF integrates an ultra‑fast Frequency Spectrum Analyzer, remote‑controllable antenna modules and Ethernet‑based system management. It offers high configurability for CAR/CER‑based installations, OB vehicles, TV stations and large‑venue productions.

Wisycom’s new PFL Portable RFoF Box is a rugged, quick‑to‑deploy solution for demanding broadcast, OB, location sound and live production scenarios. It provides true diversity over fibre using a dual‑converter design, includes Gigabit Ethernet for remote control or FX Dante workflows, and features a NEUTRIK opticalCON DUO interface. Power can be supplied from the mains or a V‑lock battery commonly used with ENG cameras.

Each enclosure incorporates dual antenna N‑connectors, integrated power management with temperature‑controlled cooling, and protected I/O for field resilience. Three primary versions are offered: two for wireless microphone diversity pick‑up (compatible with most third‑party microphones) and one for IEM/IFB duties. Beyond extending antenna placements from 100 m to several kilometres, the units also carry FX Data, Dante, Shure ShowLink and Sound Devices NexLink return‑channel information over the fibre link.

Wisycom is also highlighting a firmware update for the MPR60 Wideband IEM/IFB Receiver that introduces a three‑channel IFB mode to significantly boost RF efficiency. The new mode enables up to three IFB audio channels on a single 200 kHz RF carrier, scaling to 60 IFB channels within an 8 MHz TV channel or 45 channels within a 6 MHz channel when paired with the MTK982 transmitter.

In multichannel mode, the MPR60 retains full wideband coverage from 470–1,260 MHz and Wisycom’s hallmark RF robustness. Its IP65 rating further enhances suitability for outdoor and mobile use. Users can choose between one‑channel wideband IFB, one‑channel narrowband IFB, or the new three‑channel IFB mode, with support for ENR and ENC companders to maintain backward compatibility.

Visitors can engage with two continuously running demo stations: the RFoF Explainer Session and a Three‑Channel IFB demonstration.

During the RFoF session, René Mørch, Group Director of Product Management, and Nadia Sbrissa, Pre‑sales Engineer, will lead a 10‑minute guided presentation with real‑world setups and signage to outline RFoF principles, its role in contemporary broadcast workflows and the Wisycom tools that enable long‑distance, high‑reliability antenna placement. Sessions run from Friday to Sunday with limited capacity.

At the MPR60 demo station, attendees can experience three independent IFB feeds running on a single 200 kHz RF carrier, scaling to 60 IFB channels within one 8 MHz TV channel with the optional licence. They will also see how the same receiver supports standard stereo IEM and single‑channel IFB in both wideband and narrowband modes. A QR code at the station links to complete specifications and deployment guidance.
