FOR-A Launches Go Vertical! AiDi And AiDi Sports Hub

FOR-A has broadened viztrick AiDi into a single AI technology umbrella, introducing two focused products: Go Vertical! AiDi and AiDi Sports Hub. Created by Nippon TV and distributed globally by FOR-A, viztrick AiDi brings advanced, on-device AI straight into live production workflows to meet the speed and responsiveness live content requires.

The refreshed line-up is intended to simplify choices for broadcasters, sports producers and other creators. Go Vertical! AiDi targets the surge in mobile-first, 9:16 viewing, while AiDi Sports Hub applies AI to make live sports coverage more informative and engaging.

"AI is becoming an increasingly practical part of live production, but customers don't need technology simply for technology's sake," said Hiro Tanoue, Director, Alliance Department at FOR-A Company Limited. "They need tools that solve real production challenges without adding complexity. By establishing viztrick AiDi as our overall AI technology brand and introducing Go Vertical! AiDi and AiDi Sports Hub as dedicated products, we can make it much clearer for customers to identify the capabilities that can make a difference in their workflows."

Go Vertical! AiDi, previously a feature of viztrick AiDi, is now a standalone solution centred on AI-driven, real-time 9:16 reframing. It analyses live feeds and automatically generates vertical outputs optimised for social platforms and mobile viewing.

For broadcasters and rights holders, that means existing 16:9 programming can be adapted for mobile audiences as the action unfolds, without spinning up a separate production chain. Go Vertical! AiDi supports automated tracking for sports such as basketball, football and baseball, as well as group subjects. Operators can also nominate and follow specific subjects, with the system automatically resuming tracking if a registered subject temporarily disappears.

Because processing is performed on-device rather than in the cloud, the system prioritises immediacy. Go Vertical! AiDi delivers near-real-time 9:16 production and avoids the five-to-ten-second delay seen with some alternative approaches.

Beyond sport, Go Vertical! AiDi is suited to mobile-first coverage of news, conferences, red carpets, entertainment shows and other live events where vertical consumption is growing.

AiDi Sports Hub takes viztrick AiDi in a complementary direction, equipping sports production teams with AI-assisted tools that add data, context and visual storytelling to live broadcasts.

Its toolset includes telestration, player tracking, player speed, distance and angle measurement, baseball runner speed, automated score graphics and facial-recognition graphics. FOR-A is also developing 2.5D/3D graphics, ball-trajectory visualisation, sensor-based golf-ball trajectory and AI-assisted automated programme production.

"Sports production is a great example of where AI can help the production team do more without getting in the way of the storytelling," Tanoue added. "Whether it's following the action, providing viewers with additional information, or creating content for a different screen, the goal of AiDi is to make sophisticated production capabilities more accessible and practical."

By positioning viztrick AiDi as the overarching AI brand, FOR-A is addressing two distinct production needs with one technology vision: apply AI where it makes live production faster, more efficient and more engaging. Both Go Vertical! AiDi and AiDi Sports Hub are available globally.
