Nippon TV To Globally Launch 'viztrick AiDi'

Nippon TV has announced that the company will globally launch 'viztrick AiDi' (registered trademark in Japan and USA), 'AiDi' for short, an innovative AI-powered graphic solution designed to transform the creativity and efficiency of live sports streaming/broadcast production.
The debut will take place at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2025 in Amsterdam, from September 12 to 15.
The name 'AiDi' is inspired by the English word 'Aid', highlighting its mission to support and empower production teams, and combined with 'AI', underscoring its advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
AiDi was developed in-house by Nippon TV's Engineering and Technology Department, has earned multiple national awards, and is already in use across Japan on Nippon TV’s sports programs, gaining wide acclaim from both producers and audiences nationwide.
At IBC 2025, Nippon TV will introduce the AiDi Sports Package, featuring powerful and intuitive real-time video analysis functions optimised for baseball and soccer production, including:
• Automatic score recognition and display
• Real-time tracking of player speed and distance
• Visualisation of field distances and angles
• Intuitive 2.5D drawing tools for on-field graphics
• Automatic player profile display via facial recognition
All functions run locally on a PC without internet connection, ensuring speed, reliability, and security without relying on cloud processing. AiDi delivers not only groundbreaking visual storytelling for sports coverage but also streamlines workflows intuitively, helping production companies reduce time and costs while engaging audiences.
Hiroo Sueoka, Associate Managing Director, AiDi Project, Global Strategy Headquarters, Nippon TV, said: "Nippon TV is dedicated to revolutionising digital media in this ever-evolving industry, and we have been developing 'AiDi' for many years, aiming for this global launch," said Sueoka. "This in-house innovation, created by Nippon TV's Engineering and Technology Department, draws upon our more than 70 years of live production expertise, especially in professional baseball and soccer. Equipped with features such as automatic score generation and real-time player tracking, AiDi’s intuitive system processes everything locally on a PC, enabling faster, more reliable, and more secure performance. AiDi not only introduces innovative new visual expressions for sports programming, but also dramatically improves production efficiency. At IBC 2025, Nippon TV will demonstrate AiDi to a wide audience of industry professionals from around the world who are interested in implementing AiDi, at Stand 2.B53."
