Riedel Names Lutz Rathmann CEO

Riedel Communications will strengthen its leadership and global go-to-market set-up from 1 January 2027. Lutz Rathmann will become CEO of Riedel Communications, taking overall responsibility for both the Product Division and the Managed Technology Division.

At the same time, Anthony Zuyderhoff will step into the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), heading a newly unified global commercial organisation. Jan Eveleens, currently CEO of the Product Division, will retire at the end of 2026 after a distinguished career in the broadcast sector.

The revised structure more closely aligns the Product and Managed Technology divisions, bringing together Riedel’s product development and live-production expertise while preserving each unit’s teams, strengths, and market focus. In parallel, Riedel will connect sales, service, support, and marketing under a single go-to-market leadership to deliver a more coordinated, consistent experience for customers and partners.

“Our customers do not think in terms of internal structures or individual responsibilities. They expect us to understand their challenges and bring the right capabilities together,” said Rathmann. “By aligning Product and Managed Technology more closely and strengthening how we connect with the market, we can turn our combined experience into greater value for customers and partners.”

Rathmann, an experienced Riedel leader, previously served as vice director global events and head of project management before returning in 2020 to lead Managed Technology. Since then, he has expanded the business, built new partnerships, and advanced the solutions portfolio for international events and live productions. Together with Eveleens, he has fostered closer collaboration between Managed Technology and the Product Division, laying the foundation for this next phase.

"Our ambition is to make Riedel feel like one company at every customer touchpoint," said Zuyderhoff. "That means connecting our commercial teams more closely, bringing the right expertise to the table earlier, and focusing less on individual products and more on the outcomes our customers want to achieve."

Currently executive director global sales, Zuyderhoff will lead the unified go-to-market organisation, with the aim of streamlining collaboration, accelerating decision-making, and strengthening support for customers and partners across products and services.
