BBC Named UK Broadcast Partner For ATHLOS London

ATHLOS, the all-women's professional track and field league, has announced the BBC as its official UK broadcast partner for ATHLOS London, marking the league’s first international event.

The partnership will see the BBC provide live coverage of ATHLOS London from StoneX Stadium on Friday 18 September 2026, with audiences across the UK able to watch the event through the BBC’s digital platforms.

The London event represents ATHLOS’ first expansion beyond the United States following two seasons of competition in New York. The broadcast partnership will bring the league to UK viewers as it showcases a line-up featuring some of the biggest names in global athletics.

Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson will return to defend her ATHLOS 800m title, competing alongside athletes including Sha'Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Georgia Hunter Bell, Amber Anning and Tara Davis-Woodhall.

The BBC’s coverage will provide live and on-demand access to the event as ATHLOS aims to grow its international audience and bring a new format of professional track and field to fans in the UK.

The partnership builds on the BBC’s long-standing role in broadcasting major athletics events and comes as ATHLOS continues its global expansion strategy, using established broadcast platforms to reach new audiences and highlight women’s elite competition.
