Expanded UK Film Centre promotes UK industry at Cannes

The UK Film Centre, which promotes the UK film industry in the international marketplace, will be providing an expanded range of business services in its second year of operation at the world’s biggest film festival.
Last year more than 2,600 accredited film festival and market delegates from 64 countries working in production, distribution, finance, entertainment law, publishing and marketing visited the UK Film Centre seeking specialised information about the UK film industry.
This year’s UK Film Centre, situated at a new and larger location in the International Village next to the American Pavilion and South African Film Centre, is hosting a number of events to promote the UK industry’s commercial and creative film activity, in addition to providing key business facilities and services.
Organised by partners The Script Factory, the New Producers’ Alliance and Le Club des Producteurs Européens, sessions will cover film finance, co-production and pitching.
Fuller details about these sessions and other events will be available at the UK Film Centre in Cannes and published in the daily trade press. Information can also be accessed at www.ukfilmcouncil.org.uk/ukfilmcentre
The UK Film Centre is run by the UK Film Council, in association with the British Council, Screen England, PACT, Scottish Screen, Scottish Highlands and Islands Film Commission, and Sgrîn Cymru/Screen Wales. Sponsors include Formica, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the British Film Institute (bfi).
