iWedia Launches Teatro Factory
iWedia, a global provider of software solutions for connected TV devices, has launched Teatro Factory, a new operator-focused software platform designed to help telecom and pay TV operators create, validate, deploy, operate, optimise and evolve digital TV devices at scale.
The new offering is designed to address the growing complexity of set-top box (STB), smart TV and Android TV ecosystems by combining software delivery, automated validation and device management into a single framework for end-to-end digital TV device operations.
As telecom and pay TV operators face increasing pressure to accelerate feature releases, reduce software delivery risks and manage multiple generations of devices, they must also contend with fragmented ecosystems spanning different operating systems, hardware platforms, middleware, applications and user experience requirements.
According to iWedia, Teatro Factory is intended to help operators transition from traditional system integration approaches to a more predictable, automated and continuously managed model for digital TV device operations.
The platform is built around three integrated components: Teatro Cx, Teatro Test Lab and Teatro Pulse.
Teatro Cx provides a software delivery framework that supports continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), architecture, code and test automation, documentation-as-code, dashboards, traceability, KPI monitoring and real-time project tracking. The company says the platform enables operators to replace late-stage stabilisation and subjective reporting with measurable and continuously monitored software delivery.
Teatro Test Lab focuses on automated testing and validation, supporting both software-in-the-loop testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines and hardware-in-the-loop testing for regression, performance and stability validation on physical devices. The approach is designed to identify issues earlier, shorten validation cycles and improve confidence in software releases before deployment.
Completing the platform is Teatro Pulse, a device management solution that provides telemetry, remote diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, remote application management, analytics and fleet-wide operational controls. The platform is designed to help operators proactively manage deployed devices while reducing the complexity of ongoing support and maintenance.
Hans-Juergen Desor, CEO of iWedia, said: "Teatro Factory represents the next phase of iWedia’s evolution: bringing software delivery, automated validation, and device operations together into a managed factory model for digital TV. After 15 years in this market, we believe the industry is moving beyond project-based execution toward continuous, intelligent device operations — and iWedia intends to lead that transition."
The launch coincides with iWedia's 15th year in the digital TV market. The company said Teatro Factory builds on its experience supporting operators, pay TV providers, OEMs and technology partners with software architecture, system integration, product delivery and long-term maintenance across connected TV and digital TV ecosystems.
According to iWedia, the platform provides operators with a unified framework for reducing execution risk, improving software quality, accelerating validation and increasing operational visibility across deployed device fleets. The offering is aimed particularly at operators managing large STB and smart TV deployments, multiple hardware generations and Android-based platforms.
iWedia will showcase Teatro Factory at IBC 2026, where attendees will be able to learn more about its approach to end-to-end digital TV device operations through CI/CD, automated testing and fleet management.
