Fox Television Stations, Extreme Reach And LTN Deliver Live Syndicated Television

Fox Television Stations, Extreme Reach (XR) and LTN have completed a four-week live syndication initiative for the game show 25 Words or Less LIVE, demonstrating how cloud-based workflows and managed IP distribution can support live television delivery at national scale.

Produced for Fox First Run and hosted by Meredith Vieira, 25 Words or Less LIVE aired weekdays from 4 May to 29 May 2026 from Parlay Studios in Jersey City, New Jersey. The initiative delivered more than 38 live broadcasts, twice daily, to 18 broadcast stations across key US markets, including several Fox-owned and operated stations.

The project used a workflow combining Extreme Reach’s syndication services with LTN’s managed IP video transport network and master control operations, enabling the live programme to be distributed efficiently to stations nationwide.

The collaboration demonstrated the potential of modern live television distribution models, giving broadcasters greater flexibility while supporting real-time audience engagement. Viewers were able to watch and participate as the show aired, creating new opportunities for stations to connect with audiences through social media, local promotions and interactive experiences.

XR managed the programme’s distribution through its syndication platform, while LTN provided the managed IP transport and master control services required to connect the production facility with local broadcasters. The combined solution provided a reliable alternative to traditional satellite-based distribution methods while maintaining the scale and performance required for live programming.

The initiative received positive feedback from participating stations and highlighted how cloud-based and IP-enabled technologies can modernise broadcast workflows. It also demonstrated the potential for broadcasters and content providers to reduce costs while improving operational flexibility and audience engagement.

The successful delivery of 25 Words or Less LIVE reflects a wider industry move towards software-driven distribution models designed to support live events, syndicated content and evolving viewer experiences.
