Techtel Launches Insyght To Streamline ST 2110 Media Discovery

Techtel has unveiled Insyght, a new tool aimed at organisations working with live uncompressed video over IP (SMPTE ST 2110), promising simpler, faster access to their content.

As remote and distributed production becomes standard, connecting extremely high-bandwidth ST 2110 sources to teams located anywhere is a growing challenge. Insyght was built to address this need by making it easier to discover, view and repurpose these feeds.

The system automatically detects IP video streams on a network and lets users create individual processing pipelines or consolidate multiple outputs into custom multiview dashboards — all accessible in a standard web browser.

Operator dashboards include familiar multiviewer-style UMD, world clocks, audio meters and live sources from the pipelines. A key differentiator is that Insyght generates multiviewers directly from ST 2110 sources and publishes them to a URL, so anyone on the network can instantly view and share low-latency streams and dashboards from virtually anywhere. Each pipeline or dashboard has its own configurable publish URL, which can be embedded in third-party tools such as Grafana, Splunk and Kibana.

Despite browser-based access, Techtel says end-to-end latency from source to screen is just over one-tenth of a second, supporting near-real-time monitoring.

For scale, Insyght's compute server supports network interfaces from 25 Gbps up to 400 Gbps, enabling aggregation and simultaneous processing of large volumes of uncompressed streams.
