Clear-Com Launches Avalon IP Station For Modern, Scalable Intercom Workflows

Clear-Com has unveiled Avalon, a 1RU IP intercom station engineered for contemporary, networked production environments across broadcast, live events and wider production. The compact platform is designed to simplify deployment and scale with demand, providing a cost‑efficient choice for teams moving to all‑IP workflows.

Avalon natively supports FreeSpeak wireless beltpacks, HelixNet digital partyline, V‑Series keypanels and I.V. Direct within a single rack unit, with flexible IP interfacing and a licensing-based port model that lets users expand system capacity over time without changing hardware.

Built specifically for fully IP-based intercom operations, Avalon omits analogue audio connectivity, reducing system complexity while maintaining the performance and reliability associated with Clear-Com solutions. It is aimed at organisations standardising on modern network infrastructures and seeking a streamlined alternative to hybrid systems.

The new platform complements the Arcadia Central Station, which remains in the portfolio for applications needing hybrid analogue and IP connectivity, front‑panel control and legacy integrations. By contrast, Avalon targets IP‑only use cases as a lower‑cost, highly scalable option.

For local and remote connectivity, Avalon supports AES67, Dante and Clear-Com's I.V. Direct, enabling integration on converged networks with increased IP capacity and configuration flexibility.

Optimised for space‑constrained racks, the 1RU unit supports a wide range of user stations, channels and IP options. Avalon will be available soon through Clear-Com's global network.
