HK Audio Launches COSMO Line Array System In Chile

German audio manufacturer HK Audio has introduced its COSMO line array system to the Chilean market for the first time during a dedicated Sound Experience event in Santiago, attracting rental companies, distributors and commercial partners from across the region.

Hosted by ProSound Chile at Pimentón Rojo Restobar in Villa Alemana, the open-air event was designed to showcase the capabilities of the COSMO system in a live environment while also highlighting HK Audio's broader professional audio portfolio.

"To have the Chilean debut of COSMO is a very significant for us," explained Alfonso Verdugo, Media Manager at ProSound Chile. "While the event was open to a broader audience, it was specifically targeted at three highly interested clients."

Representatives from almost every rental company in the region attended the event, many experiencing the COSMO system in person for the first time.

Alongside COSMO, attendees were also introduced to the LINEAR 9 210 LTA and LINEAR 5 MK2 308 LTA systems. According to Verdugo, the demonstrations received strong feedback from visitors, including those initially sceptical about the systems’ capabilities.

"These units generated great feedback, particularly from sceptical attendees who were impressed by their performance and ease of setup as an alternative to line array systems," he said.

Visitors also had the opportunity to explore the SONAR, POLAR, SI SERIES and wider LINEAR 5 MK2 product ranges, providing a broader overview of HK Audio’s professional solutions.

Throughout the event, COSMO remained the main attraction, with attendees praising the system's clarity, low-end performance and consistency across different music genres.

"The system truly speaks for itself," Verdugo continued. "Attendees were particularly impressed by the clarity and the lack of signal loss at a distance. The low end was powerful and punchy, and the overall integration of the system components makes it very easy to handle."

The event also led directly to a commercial sale, with Chilean rental company Soni2 purchasing the COSMO system following the demonstrations. The company has already begun using the system for large-scale productions.

HK Audio said the launch represents an important milestone in strengthening its presence within Chile’s competitive live sound market. Since the event, the newly acquired COSMO system has already been deployed as the headline PA for two major events in the country.

"This is a major step forward for us in establishing HK Audio as a top-tier competitor in Chile," said Verdugo. "COSMO is a system from outer space and we are thrilled to finally bring it home to Chile."
