Bridge Technologies To Showcase IPMX Monitoring With VB440
Bridge Technologies will highlight its IPMX monitoring capabilities at NAB 2026 (Booth C.3019), following the VB440 production probe's recent TR-10 compliance certification.
The demonstration will showcase the probe's ability to analyse and verify IPMX workflows across multi-vendor environments, supporting RGB video, compressed and uncompressed essences, and modern ProAV timing models—all within a single, integrated platform.
'The VB440’s IPMX capabilities will be featured both at Bridge’s booth and during the NAB IP Showcase, an event that has long promoted IP adoption in broadcast, where Bridge has been a consistent contributor for over a decade.
IPMX (Internet Protocol Media Experience) is an open-standard initiative adapted from SMPTE ST 2110 for ProAV applications, enabling interoperable IP-based media transport in live events, corporate AV, education, and venue installations. Bridge Technologies has supported IPMX since its early days, introducing the concepts on its online industry show, the 'Bridge Show', as far back as 2021.
The VB440 has been developed to support IPMX workflows throughout the standard’s evolution, including earlier TR-07 implementations, and now achieves full TR-10 compliance. The certification confirms the VB440 can serve as an independent reference tool for validating interoperability across complete IPMX-enabled systems. At the recent ISE show, the probe was used live on the AIMS IP Showcase booth to verify interoperability between devices.
What distinguishes the VB440 is its comprehensive functionality. It provides transport analyses, timing monitoring, advanced colorimetry, audio engineering tools, and other production capabilities typically requiring multiple instruments. With IPMX certification, it supports all uncompressed formats, while delivering browser-accessible, low-latency operation worldwide. NAB 2026 will also highlight new features introduced this year, including a multiservice AV sync tool to ensure frame-perfect alignment across multiple channels.
"IPMX is the result of years of collaborative work across the industry, and it's something we have actively supported and spoken about since the very early days. For us, IPMX certification is not about chasing a logo, but about ensuring that engineers have a practical, trustworthy tool they can use to understand and validate what is actually happening in complex, real-world systems," said Simen Frostad, Chairman of Bridge Technologies.
He added: "That's what makes attendance at NAB and participation in events like the IP showcase so important to us. We have always believed that progress in our industry is not a zero-sum game. When vendors collaborate openly, align around shared standards and focus on interoperability, everyone benefits — manufacturers, integrators, operators and ultimately end users. NAB, the IP showcase, IPMX certification – these are all elements which reflect that belief: it's about strengthening the collective ecosystem, not just individual products."
