GatesAir Launches AirWatch365 Monitoring Service And Edge Gateway

GatesAir has announced the global launch of AirWatch365, a managed service designed to enhance broadcast transmission monitoring and support, alongside the introduction of the AirWatch365 Edge Gateway, a new on-premises appliance that securely links transmission infrastructure to the cloud-based platform.

The dual release marks a further step in the company’s global services strategy, combining cloud-based data aggregation with secure, site-level data collection. The aim is to provide broadcasters with improved operational visibility, reliability, and faster support response across increasingly complex transmission networks.

Available as part of the wider GatesAir Care programme, AirWatch365 operates as a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC)-based service. It allows broadcasters to outsource monitoring, diagnostics, and technical support to a dedicated team of GatesAir RF specialists. The platform continuously gathers telemetry, correlates alarms, and applies analytics across multiple sites, enabling early detection of potential issues before they affect on-air performance.

"At GatesAir, our focus is on providing broadcasters with a reliable and scalable approach to monitoring and supporting increasingly distributed transmission infrastructure," said Raymond Miklius, Vice President of Technology, GatesAir. "AirWatch365 brings together centralized visibility, structured analytics, and expert support to help ensure consistent, high-quality on-air operations."

The system is built around a cloud-based server layer that acts as the central aggregation point. At site level, the AirWatch365 Edge Gateway collects and standardises operational data from transmitters, exciters, and environmental systems, including metrics such as power levels, temperatures, and signal conditions. This data is then securely transmitted to the platform, where it is analysed and displayed through configurable dashboards.

This architecture allows broadcasters to monitor alarms, performance metrics, and reporting across multiple locations, while maintaining local control and ensuring continued operation in the event of temporary network disruptions.

AirWatch365 goes beyond traditional alarm monitoring by integrating telemetry, alarm correlation, and advanced analytics across sites. GatesAir’s support teams monitor system trends in real time, enabling faster identification of faults and more effective intervention when performance moves outside normal thresholds.

The platform also offers tailored configurations to suit individual operational needs, including custom dashboards, site groupings, and user-defined alarm thresholds. This helps reduce unnecessary alerts while ensuring critical issues generate clear, actionable notifications.

Designed with scalability and security in mind, AirWatch365 supports deployments ranging from single stations to multi-market broadcast networks across both radio and television. The Edge Gateway uses secure outbound connectivity aligned with modern IT security standards, limiting access strictly to approved equipment while maintaining local system functionality during connectivity interruptions.

AirWatch365 will be available globally from this spring. GatesAir is set to showcase both the service and the Edge Gateway at the NAB Show 2026, taking place from April 19–22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
