bebob Expands U.S. Operations With New National Sales Manager

German battery manufacturer bebob, a leading provider of professional power solutions for film, broadcast, and production, is expanding its presence in the United States with new sales and service initiatives.

The company has created the position of National Sales Manager USA and appointed Donald Mainardi to the role, strengthening its direct engagement with American customers.

Announced on January 27, 2026, from Munich and New Jersey, the move builds on bebob’s long-standing relationships with established U.S. dealers and follows the recent appointment of a new service partner. In his new role, Mainardi will act as the primary sales contact for all U.S.-based clients.

Mainardi brings extensive experience in the film and broadcast sector, along with a strong network of industry relationships. Prior to joining bebob, he held senior sales positions at a leading battery manufacturer and at Panasonic Broadcast, where he managed broadcast and production customers across the United States.

The appointment underlines bebob's commitment to the North American market, with the expanded local presence designed to improve product availability, consulting, and customer support tailored to regional needs.

"bebob products already enjoy an excellent reputation among American filmmakers," said Don Mainardi. "I'm thrilled to introduce these premium-quality batteries to cinematographers and filmmakers across the U.S. — and to help support their success in the market. Along with the new service partner BW Energy and Innovation, we’re positioned to offer even better service, faster response times, and closer collaboration with both end customers and resellers. Customers at bebob USA can look forward not only to expert advice but also to very fast turnaround times and first-class shipping services."

On the service side, bebob has partnered with BW Energy and Innovation, a U.S.-based battery testing and evaluation laboratory offering comprehensive end-of-life battery testing and grading services. The company is part of Blue Whale Materials, a U.S. leader in responsible lithium-ion battery recycling and recovery solutions.

Through its established collection and logistics network, BW Energy and Innovation supports safe and efficient battery handling while helping customers maximize the value of used batteries. The partnership is also key to supporting bebob’s battery re-celling capability, which extends battery life through component-level repairs, reducing costs and conserving resources while promoting more sustainable production practices.
The collaboration ensures bebob’s sustainability and quality standards are upheld in the U.S. market, providing customers with advanced power solutions alongside reliable, responsible after-sales support.
