ANI Expands LiveU Deployment To Strengthen Live News Coverage Across India and Beyond

ANI, India's leading news agency and a major content provider across the Asia‑Pacific region, has announced a major expansion of its partnership with LiveU, with hundreds of LiveU field units now deployed across India and internationally.

ANI has been a LiveU customer for more than 15 years. The expanded deployment is designed to enhance the agency's ability to deliver fast, reliable, broadcast-quality live coverage at scale, even in challenging and diverse environments. The move supports high-volume, always-on news operations across metropolitan centres and remote locations. Standardizing on LiveU technology ensures consistent performance, rapid deployment, and operational resilience, regardless of geography or network conditions.
LiveU's flagship multi-cam LU800 unit is a core part of ANI’s live production infrastructure, helping maintain the agency’s leadership in modern broadcast workflows throughout the region. Equipped with native 5G connectivity and advanced IP bonding, the LU800 delivers highly resilient, low-latency transmission in both urban and remote areas. In addition, LiveU's mobile app, LU‑Smart, enables ANI teams to supplement coverage using smartphones as events unfold.

The shift toward centralised production workflows has also allowed ANI to streamline operations, improve deployment efficiency, and accelerate time-to-air, while maintaining the reliability and flexibility required for national and international live newsgathering.
