Wisycom Launches Wideband MATF Antenna Matrix
Wisycom has unveiled its new wideband antenna matrix, MATF, designed to support both RF and fibre in demanding multi-zone wireless infrastructures.
The MATF will make its first public appearance at the 2026 NAMM Show (Booth 16102) and ISE 2026 (Stand 7P800), where visitors can see how Wisycom has rethought centralised RF distribution management for complex installations across theatre, live events, outside broadcast and TV stations.
Developed to address growing complexity in distributed wireless systems, the MATF consolidates multiple rack components into a single, highly flexible frame. It can combine up to eight RF zones in diversity, providing either 8:4 or two 4:2 outputs. Inputs include electrical (BNC) RF connections and up to six fibre-input modules. On the output side, four coaxial RF output pairs can be configured as four equal diversity feeds or two sets of two diversity feeds. With an operating range from 170 MHz to 1,260 MHz, the system is adaptable for worldwide deployment.
"As productions expand across larger facilities and multi-stage environments, our customers need RF systems that are more flexible, more centralized and easier to control," said Gerrit Buhe, CTO of Wisycom. "The MATF is designed to meet that challenge head-on. By integrating our fiber and copper endpoint technologies with advanced matrix coupling in one compact frame, we give users a powerful platform that adapts to nearly any installation or workflow. Whether for theater, corporate, broadcast or OB applications, the antenna matrix offers new levels of scalability and remote management."
Engineered for large-area and multi-zone environments, the MATF is particularly suited to Centralised Apparatus Rooms (CAR), also known as Central Equipment Rooms (CER). It supports Wisycom's BFL2 M0 and M2 fibre endpoints for seamless integration with the company’s ecosystem. An integrated ultra-fast Frequency Spectrum Analyzer evaluates all inputs so issues can be identified and avoided before signals are routed to the combined outputs; the combined RF spectrum can also be monitored.
Further features include fully remotely controllable antennas for zone-specific gain and filtering, plus Ethernet-based remote control for streamlined integration into modern networks. Users can configure zones, check system status and label I/O via a full-colour touchscreen with an intuitive interface.
The MATF will be offered in four versions, giving integrators and system designers the flexibility to select the configuration that best fits their technical and architectural requirements.
