Absen Unveils PL 3.9 Pro V3, Advancing LED Technology

Absen has expanded its Polaris Series with the launch of the PL 3.9 Pro V3, an LED panel designed to meet the demanding needs of live events, festivals, touring shows and large-scale brand activations.

Positioned for both indoor and outdoor use, the new model blends rugged engineering with premium image performance.

The PL 3.9 Pro V3 features a unibody dual-layer magnesium cabinet that provides a high strength-to-weight ratio and comes in two panel formats — 500×1000mm and 500×500mm — to support flexible configurations. For rental and touring environments, the panel includes an array of protective technologies such as triple-guard modules, reinforced corner shields, anti-drop safety ropes and anti-shock locking knobs, helping safeguard the product from impacts during transport, rigging and teardown.

Designed to deliver clarity in any setting, the panel uses true black-face LEDs and matte-black anti-reflective masks to achieve deep blacks and high contrast. A brightness range spanning from 0.1 nits to 5000 nits, 16-bit grayscale and a 7680Hz refresh rate ensure consistent, high-quality visuals whether installed indoors or outdoors. The system’s tool-free rear maintenance and refined locking mechanisms allow for rapid setup and servicing, attributes aimed at AV professionals looking for efficiency without sacrificing performance.

For outdoor and large-format applications, the PL 3.9 Pro V3 supports an optional integrated wind-bracing system with a triple-stable structure. Paired with reinforced triangle hanging bars, it can be safely deployed at heights of up to 20 meters and withstand winds up to Beaufort force 8. Optional climb-assist ladder attachments offer secure access for technicians working on modules and power units.
