Deep Fusion Films Unveils New Suite of Production Tools From Technology Division

Deep Fusion Films, the production company and emerging technology specialist, has unveiled a new suite of software tools developed by its six-month-old technology arm, Deep Fusion Technologies (DFT).

The three new tools — Scriptreadr, BedRock and Transcriptr — expand DFT's 'Creative First' portfolio, and are designed to cut down significantly on some of the most time-consuming and labour-intensive stages of the traditional production workflow.

Scriptreadr is a subscription-based service that converts uploaded scripts into fully voiced audio files, complete with character dialogue and narration.

Transcriptr automates the creation of production scripts required by broadcasters and streaming platforms in post-production, reducing a task that typically takes around three days to just minutes. The company is currently inviting beta testers ahead of the tool’s full release in early 2026.

BedRock uses advanced computer vision and generative audio to analyse any video clip and produce three layers of tailored atmospheric sound — foreground, mid-ground and background. The software aims to accelerate one of the more time-heavy aspects of post-sound workflows, delivering immersive and emotionally nuanced audio beds for documentaries, entertainment programming and digital-first content. Beta testers are also being sought in the run-up to its planned 2026 launch.

Released under the 'Creative First' banner, Scriptreadr, Transcriptr and BedRock join DFT’s earlier launches: Verbl, an AI-assisted transcription, translation and dubbing platform; and Weavr, proprietary software announced last month and developed in partnership with Topfoto, the century-old family-owned historical picture archive.
