StreamGuys Streamlines Compliance And Analytics With SGreports Update

News Image
StreamGuys has introduced a significant upgrade to its SGreports consumption analytics platform, which is now fully integrated with the company's SGroyaltyreporter compliance solution.

The enhanced integration delivers a more efficient workflow, offering broadcasters and content owners improved precision in measuring audience behaviour and managing royalty reporting obligations.

The update follows earlier 2025 enhancements to SGreports, including the addition of consumption metrics for rewind-enabled audio and video streams. Widely recognised as a comprehensive analytics and log processing suite, SGreports enables media organisations to better understand how audiences interact with streamed content. SGroyaltyreporter (SGrr), meanwhile, is specifically designed to deliver highly accurate, audit-grade reporting for regulatory submissions to organisations such as SoundExchange.

Traditional playlist-based reporting has had its pitfalls — partial tune-ins often go uncounted, and automated traffic can inflate results. SGroyaltyreporter tackles these issues head-on by merging playlist logs with completed streaming session data. It also enables advanced filtering tools, such as IP and UA blacklisting, to weed out non-human traffic, and it accounts for partial tune-ins to make sure mid-song listeners are properly included. Overall, StreamGuys sees SGroyaltyreporter as a tool that ensures that clients have the peace of mind when it comes to the data they submit.

With SGroyaltyreporter now built directly into SGreports, StreamGuys customers get both a unified analytics and compliance ecosystem. SGreports already offers rich insights across listening hours, session counts, unique users, device types, and geographic data. Thanks to the integration, those same dashboards and visualisations now also extend to royalty reporting — making it easy to evaluate audience engagement and generate submission-ready reports from a single place.
