CNBC COMMIT TO SX FOR LIVE BROADCASTS

FINANCE CHANNEL CNBC Europe, operating in the City of London are introducing digital format into their live broadcast capturing operation.
Broadcast specialists McMillan have been instrumental in providing the equipment, expertise and advice to assist CNBC with their plans.

With a switch to Sony Betacam SX, CNBC’s ENG crews will optimise the benefits of leading-edge products. These offer both the high quality capture required for broadcast and the portability their OB teams need to take advantage of every news or interview opportunity as it happens.

To further enhance the operation, the top-of-the-range studio edit recorder for the Betacam SX format - DNW-A75P has also been acquired. From a system view the DNW-A75P can be integrated with current edit controllers and robotic tape systems, for example Sony LMS and Flexicart. Complete editing functionality is available and playback capability of analogue Betacam and Betacam SP is included complete with Dynamic Tracking.”
