Hearst Networks Partners With Legend Entertainment
Hearst Networks and Legend Entertainment have announced the upcoming launch of Battle Treasures with Foxy and Bruce, a new six-part factual series (6x30') premiering on Sky HISTORY.
The show explores some of the world's rarest military artefacts, uncovering the human stories, innovation and bravery behind the objects that shaped history.
Set to air on 28th October at 8:30pm, Battle Treasures with Foxy and Bruce brings together two dynamic presenters — Jason 'Foxy' Fox, the former Special Forces soldier, bestselling author and broadcaster (SAS: Who Dares Wins), and Bruce Crompton, one of the world’s leading military collectors. Together, they combine frontline experience with expert knowledge of artefact provenance and preservation, offering audiences a fresh and authentic take on military history.
Produced through a pioneering collaboration between Hearst Networks and Legend Entertainment, the series represents a bold new direction in factual television. Founded by CEO Ed Sayer, Legend Entertainment is an emerging independent production company backed by Hearst’s progressive commissioning model — one that supports creative ownership and long-term value sharing.
Under this new approach, Sky HISTORY commissioned the series with Sam Pearson and Dan Korn leading as executive producers, while Legend Entertainment retains the IP. The structure marks a significant shift towards empowering new creative voices and encouraging sustainable growth in the independent production sector.
"Battle Treasures exemplifies the kind of bold, premium factual storytelling we champion on Sky HISTORY by backing great talent and fresh IP from emerging producers," said Dan Korn, VP Programming, Hearst Networks. "Our partnership with Legend Entertainment shows how innovative business models can open up new opportunities for creativity and collaboration."
For Ed Sayer, Battle Treasures represents more than just a new series — it’s a signal of how the factual TV industry can evolve.
"Battle Treasures is proof that the future of factual storytelling lies in creative partnerships that empower producers to build brands, not just programmes," Sayer explained. "It's exciting to see a global player like Hearst Networks supporting a true indie like Legend Entertainment through a commercial model that’s fair, forward-thinking, and mutually beneficial."
Across six episodes, Battle Treasures with Foxy and Bruce travels deep into the world of military discovery, bringing authenticity and expertise to every artefact uncovered. Each episode links historical objects to the soldiers, battles, and innovations that defined them, offering audiences moments of real wonder and insight.
The series highlights the craftsmanship, engineering, and emotional power behind these rare items — connecting the tangible relics of war to the untold human stories that continue to inspire generations.
Following its UK premiere, Battle Treasures with Foxy and Bruce will air across additional territories including the Netherlands and Sweden, bringing Sky HISTORY's distinctive storytelling to an even wider audience.
