DHD.audio has reported a highly successful IBC 2025, where it saw strong interest in its expanding range of digital audio production equipment.

The International Broadcasting Convention, held in Amsterdam from 12-15 September, attracted a total of 43,858 attendees from 170 countries, with 1,350 exhibiting companies.

"IBC continues to be the biggest and best of Europe's broadcast-related trade events," comments Marc Herrmann, DHD managing director. "We experienced good attendance at our stand on all four days of the show, including existing and potential customers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America. We also met with key distribution partners and media system integrators from around the world who appreciate the opportunity to experience our latest technology at first hand."

"Demand for our products remains strong especially among broadcasters advancing to IP-connected production. At IBC this year we demonstrated our new RM1 Pro ‘Broadcast Anywhere' system, AI-based voice enhancement and a new Routing Web App for use with our range of IP Audio Cores."

"Our established range of audio mixing consoles continues to attract strong interest, all designed to ensure space efficiency and ease of operation. DHD audio consoles are highly compact control surfaces which connect to similarly space-efficient processing cores which can be located near at hand or in a relatively distant control room. Each console module incorporates a high-resolution video display which provides the information required for easy configuration and operation. The RM1 extends this paradigm by allowing broadcasters to connect in from practically any location via IP and participate closely as part of the team in the main studio."

A complete studio-quality audio production system housed compact robust desktop unit, the RM1 Pro is designed for applications such as remote or onsite broadcast contribution, live news production, web radio and podcasting. Features include AD/DA interfacing, audio preamps, 48 volt phantom power for condenser microphones, audio mixing, EQ and signal dynamics processing. AutoMix mode automatically balances incoming audio channels, conforming background audio to a presettable level and minimising distractions. Settings can be adjusted to enhance individual presentation styles. Features include automatic level control, switching between peak programme metering, EBU R128 loudness metering and customised loudness metering, adjustable profanity delay and flexible sub-mixing.

"We demonstrated AI-based voice enhancement on the stand as highly effective tool for removing unwanted background noise and distortion from live or recorded speech contributions such as sports commentaries or city-centre news reports," adds Christoph Gottert, DHD international sales manager. "An upcoming new addition to our XD3 IP core processor, it will be available for use with any DHD audio mixing desk. Developed in partnership with ai|acoustics, it also has great potential as a post-production tool to clean content that was previously too noisy to be acceptable for transmission."

Also introduced at IBC 2025, DHD's new Routing Web App makes the entire process of assigning and managing incoming sources and output ports easy to view and control. It is compatible with all DHD IP cores (standard XC3, high-capacity XD3 and XS3) and all DHD mixers able to run version 10.4 firmware.
