Teradek Launches New Long-Range Wireless Video Receiver

Teradek has announced the launch of the Bolt 6 XT 10K RX, a new wireless video receiver with a range of up to 10,000 feet (3 km) over both 5GHz and 6GHz frequencies. The device is the latest evolution in on-set wireless monitoring, providing a super-long-range solution that supports up to 4K60 and features dual 12G-SDI outputs.
"Bolt 6 users have experienced the clear advantages of 6GHz frequencies—less interference and more available channels, leading to maximum image quality," says Colin McDonald, Product Manager – Cine Products. "The next evolution in on-set wireless monitoring is pushing 6GHz, zero-delay video transmission even farther, and the Bolt 6 XT 10K RX delivers just that, with a maximum range of up to 10,000 feet (3 kilometers). Our last 10K receiver was built for the Bolt 3000 and offered long-range performance with a more compact array antenna. This new iteration brings that same super-long range capability to the Bolt 4K and Bolt 6 series, now with support for up to 4K60 and dual 12G-SDI outputs."
The Bolt 6 XT 10K RX integrates a directional antenna, specifically designed for superior RF performance to minimizing interference by focusing signal reception. It also benefits from more robust internal shielding. When paired with Broadcast Mode on the transmitter, the Bolt 6 XT 10K RX can now achieve up to twice the range of the current longest-reaching systems
Its all-in-one enclosure design not only boosts range and reliability in challenging RF environments, but also eliminates the hassle of external antenna cables. This results in a much cleaner setup, expediting deployment from its case onto a C-stand. This receiver is compatible with all Bolt 6 and Bolt 4K transmitters, so it integrates seamlessly into any existing Bolt 4K or Bolt 6 ecosystem.
The Bolt XT 10K RX has 2x 12G-SDI and 1x HDMI outputs and includes either Gold Mount or V-Mount battery plates. This receiver can be purchased as a standalone or as part of a Bolt 6 XT MAX Set.
"As productions have become larger and more complex, this receiver makes zero-delay viewing possible at unprecedented distances," McDonald added. "Our goal is to streamline connectivity on set, and the Bolt 6 XT 10K RX delivers exactly that."
