iWedia Partners With EiTV

iWedia and EiTV have announced a strategic cooperation to enter the Brazilian TV market with a joint DTV+ solution.

This partnership aligns the strengths of both companies – iWedia's proven NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0) software stack and EiTV's Ginga interactive middleware – into an integrated platform just in time for Brazil's adoption of DTV+ as its next-generation digital TV standard. The companies prepare to showcase their combined solution during SET Expo 2025 in São Paulo, demonstrating their commitment to Brazil’s DTV+ rollout timeline.

By merging EiTV's middleware (a complete implementation of Brazil's Ginga ISDB-T/DTVi interactive TV platform) with iWedia's comprehensive ATSC 3.0 stack, the joint solution provides a ready-to-deploy platform fully compliant with Brazil’s DTV+ specifications. The combined software stack is designed to enable Brazilian broadcasters and device manufacturers to fast-track deployment of NextGen TV features, offering the synergy of local interactive services with globally certified ATSC 3.0 capabilities. This turnkey approach lowers integration hurdles for TV networks and OEM/ODM manufacturers, ensuring DTV+ receivers can deliver advanced services from day one of deployment. This cooperation ensures a local ecosystem advantage – pairing iWedia's global ATSC 3.0 expertise with EiTV's regional middleware know-how – to support all players in Brazil's TV value chain.

The companies will debut a joint demo highlighting DTV+ system with features such as:

Interactive Applications – Full support for Brazil’s Ginga interactive content, enabling broadcast apps and services to run seamlessly on NextGen TV devices.

Hybrid Broadcast/OTT Playback – Smooth integration of over-the-air ATSC 3.0 signals with broadband OTT content for a hybrid TV experience.

EPG (Electronic Program Guide) – An interactive program guide that merges broadcast and broadband data, providing rich EPG listings, program information, and metadata for both live and upcoming content.

"This collaboration is a milestone in our efforts to deploy NextGen TV technology in Brazil," said Zivko Radonjic, Business Development Director at iWedia. "By combining iWedia's robust ATSC 3.0 software stack with EiTV’s proven Ginga middleware, we can deliver a fully featured DTV+ platform that accelerates time-to-market for Brazilian OEMs and broadcasters. Our teams worked together to ensure the solution meets both international NextGen TV standards and Brazil's interactive requirements, enabling broadcasters to launch innovative DTV+ services with confidence."

"Brazil’s transition to DTV+ opens an immense opportunity for innovation in broadcasting," said Rodrigo Cascão Araújo, CEO of EiTV. "Partnering with iWedia allows us to offer a turnkey platform that unites local interactive expertise with world-class ATSC 3.0 functionality. This joint solution demonstrates our strategic vision to empower Brazilian broadcasters and manufacturers with a ready-to-go DTV+ ecosystem. We're proud to collaborate in bringing state-of-the-art broadcast and broadband integration to Brazil's TV industry, right as the market prepares for its next big leap."

Interested broadcasters, manufacturers, and partners are invited to experience the joint DTV+ solution firsthand at SET Expo 2025. The live demo will be available at EiTV’s booth #40 on August 19–22, 2025, at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. Representatives from both iWedia and EiTV will be onsite to provide demonstrations, answer technical questions, and discuss business inquiries.
