Planetcast To Display Its NexC Media Distribution Platform

News Image
Planetcast Media Services is to showcase its powerful NexC media distribution platform at BroadcastAsia 2025, taking place from 27–29 May at the Singapore EXPO. Visitors to Stand 5C1-1 will see how Planetcast’s cloud-first Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution enables broadcasters, streaming platforms and content owners across APAC to thrive in today’s fast-evolving content landscape.

Planetcast's regional teleport infrastructure in India and Singapore, partnerships with leading APAC broadcasters such as Disney Hotstar, Viacom, Sony, Amazon Prime and Discovery, and its 17-year legacy supporting the IPL – Asia’s most valuable sports league – gives it unmatched experience in processing, localising, and delivering content across the region. With a 25-year media services and technology heritage, Planetcast serves over 50 broadcasters with more than 350 TV channels – touching a billion+ viewers. Through its cloud-native NexC architecture, the company is able to support cloud workflows for traditional linear TV, Free ad-supported streaming television (FAST), and over-the-top (OTT) TV at scale.

Planetcast's APAC capability and successful track record were underlined by beIN Media Group’s recent selection of the company to manage and deliver 14 HD sports channels for viewers in Southeast Asia and Australia. By integrating NexC modules like its Cloud.X-Turbo playout service and Recaster IP distribution solution, the partnership delivers seamless content preparation, localisation and monetisation at scale – underpinned by Planetcast’s global expertise and cloud-first architecture.

"The APAC broadcast and OTT ecosystem is increasingly defined by fragmentation, multilingual audiences, and the need to scale fast," said Sanjay Duda, CEO of Planetcast Media Services. "At BroadcastAsia, we'll show how NexC offers a practical answer to these complex challenges, empowering media companies to prepare, enhance, distribute, and monetise content with greater agility, lower cost, and faster speed to market. Our ability to deliver the services modern media companies need – including post-production, cloud playout, media asset management (MAM), IP delivery, and disaster recovery – is evidenced by beIN Media Group selecting us to distribute its sports channels throughout APAC."

Planetcast's on-stand demonstrations at BroadcastAsia will centre around four key solutions that power the NexC platform:
Media Asset Mgmt (Contido) – A unified content supply chain orchestration and MAM solution that enables collaborative cloud workflows from ingest to delivery.
OTT (Switch) – A white-labelled, fully managed OTT platform supporting free and FAST channels, targeted ad insertion, and seamless monetisation.
Cloud Playout (Cloud X) – A hybrid cloud-native playout solution purpose-built for linear, video-on-demand (VOD) and sports workflows, with robust disaster recovery and cloud-to-ground flexibility.
Billing Management: Cloud-BATS – An AI-enhanced broadcast and ad management system offering smart scheduling, revenue optimisation, audience analytics, and rights management.
These solutions are delivered through a unified user interface, supported by Planetcast's proprietary in-house technology and a 200+ strong engineering team, enabling tailored solutions, simplified operations, and maximum ROI.

A key component of Planetcast's established presence in Asia is its teleports in Singapore and India, which play a critical role in enabling high-reliability satellite and IP-based media services across APAC. These include uplinking via premier satellites such as ASIASAT, INTELSAT, MEASAT, INSAT and BANGABANDHU, and fail-safe, multi-platform delivery for broadcasters across Southeast Asia and ANZ.

Planetcast invites attendees to experience the future of media operations live at Stand 5C1-1 at the Singapore EXPO. Executives, including CEO Sanjay Duda and Group COO Rajesh Yadvendu, will be available for one-to-one briefings throughout the event.
