ENCO Powers Expansion Of Olive Suno Radio Network

News Image
ENCO has announced the successful expansion of long-time customer Olive Suno Radio Network in Doha, Qatar, with the launch of TETHKAR 107.4 FM.

The project introduces a third Arabic-language channel to the broadcaster’s portfolio and features a comprehensive technical upgrade incorporating ENCO’s latest automation, remote access, and visual radio solutions.

Olive Suno Radio Network, an ENCO partner since 2016, has built its reputation using ENCO automation for its two main channels, RADIO OLIVE 106.3 and RADIO SUNO 91.7, as well as its online stations Olive Nepal and Suno Lanka. The addition of Tethkar 107.4 FM represents a significant expansion, housed in brand-new studios within the broadcaster’s existing facility and featuring a fully integrated Audio over IP (AoIP) network that enables unprecedented flexibility and scalability.

As Qatar's No. 1 Radio Network, Olive Suno Radio Network has consistently led the market with innovative programming and exceptional technical quality. Their forward-thinking approach has helped them build a loyal audience base across multiple demographics, with programming that respects local traditions while embracing modern broadcasting techniques. The launch of Tethkar 107.4 FM further solidifies their position as a market leader in Qatar's competitive media landscape.

"We are deeply honored to continue our long-standing relationship with Olive Suno Radio Network and grateful for their renewed trust in our solutions," said Ken Frommert, President, ENCO. "Having accompanied them on their broadcast journey since 2016, we take tremendous pride in providing the technological foundation that supports their continued growth and success in the Qatar market."

The expansion project includes a comprehensive upgrade to the group’s on-air playout system, as well as the implementation of WebDAD, ENCO’s browser-based remote access solution. WebDAD enables authorised personnel to control studio operations from any location, providing essential flexibility for the growing broadcaster.

Additionally, the new studios incorporate a complete visual radio system featuring strategically placed cameras and ENCO’s VDESK multi-camera production system. VDESK’s automated video switching and production control capabilities allow Olive Suno Radio Network to create compelling visual content with minimal additional staffing, extending their broadcast reach across multiple platforms.

"Our collaboration with ENCO has grown over time, and we've built our setup step by step together," said Anil MELILA, Technical Manager of Olive Suno Radio Network. "We once again worked closely with the ENCO team to design a system extension tailored to our workflow, allowing us to secure all three of our channels while optimising production costs. This has enabled us to scale with confidence and meet the growing demands of our audience."

"ENCO has been an integral partner in our development strategy across the Middle East," said Mr. Krish and Mr. Ameer Ali, Co-Founders and Managing Directors of Olive Suno Radio Network. "As we've grown from our initial stations to become Qatar's No. 1 Radio Network, ENCO's reliable technology and adaptable solutions have provided the foundation we needed to focus on creating compelling content for our diverse audience. The launch of TETHKAR 107.4 represents another milestone in our ongoing expansion, supported by ENCO's innovative broadcast solutions."

The Middle East and Asia Pacific regions represent significant growth opportunities for advanced broadcast technology. This successful deployment showcases how ENCO's solutions can be tailored to meet the specific needs of broadcasters in these regions, providing the tools they need to expand their audiences across both traditional and digital platforms.
