CANAL SUR Completes Its Intercom Renewal

News Image
Canal Sur is a free-to-air television channel of the Andalusian autonomous radio and television of Andalusia.

It was born with the intention of serving as an instrument of information and participation for Andalusians in the society, culture and politics of the country. It was also intended to be a means of disseminating the historical, cultural and linguistic values of Andalusia. Its headquarters are in Seville (Spain).

To coordinate the studio's productions, Canal Sur decided to install a new Intercom System, with IP technology. The heart of the system is the CONEXIA Intercom matrix, with 64 analogue ports, 128 AoIP DANTE ports, 8 ports with digital protocol, 24 ports with IP protocol, an 8-channel linker and 68 TP 8116 panels distributed in the production centre in Seville and in the territorial headquarters in each province of the autonomous community.

Series Intercom panels have several technical mechanisms for perfect intelligibility, in particular an echo canceller, a complete audio processing system that allows parametric equalisation of the audio band and a dynamics management that adapts to the working habits of each user by incorporating noise gating, and a DLP dynamics adaptor with expansion, compression and limiting functions.

The integration of the project was carried out thanks to the integrator PROVIDEO, a distributor of equipment and integrator of systems and complete solutions for the professional audiovisual market with 30 years of experience based in Andalusia and well acquainted with the needs of Canal Sur. PROVIDEO has been in charge of developing the entire project, with installation, configuration, commissioning and training, in collaboration with AEQ's central technical services in Madrid, who worked remotely with Provideo to complete the project.
